OUR STORY

From Family Reunions to World Championships

We’re Aaron and Christy – along with our daughters Reagan (“Mini Meat”) and Renley (“Barbecutie”), we’re the family behind Man Meat BBQ.

It started with childhood memories of smoking whole hogs for family reunions. What began as backyard cooking turned into competition BBQ, and we went from a middle-of-the-pack team to nationally ranked contenders.

In 2023, at the KCBS World Invitational, we finished Reserve Grand Champion in the Wells Cup and turned around the next day to win the overall Grand Championship – making us World Champions. We did it using the exact same rubs and sauces we sell right here.
